Just last week, we volunteered to photograph a group of refugee children in hopes of raising funds as part of a community project organized by CityCare (http://www.citycare.my/)
CityCare is a social enterprise that believes in the synergistic collaboration of business enterprises, community groups and individuals to effect a positive transformation in society.
So we went to the refugee centre in Klang to photograph these children, our mission was simple… we wanted to tell a story through our photos.
What impacted me the most is that, I could almost feel their struggles by just looking at their faces through my camera. It was filled with uncertainty, yet their eyes glowed with hope. This is something that I can never make even a professional model to portray. The story of hope was written all over their faces, and these photographs speaks louder than anything that could be written about hope.
The photos will be printed in industry best standards, using fine art paper. The prints are sponsored by RDT Prints, do check them out as they are one of the best printers around http://www.rdtprints.com/
Sale of the prints will be 100% given back to the refugee home.
We hope that the photos will remind us how fortunate we are, and even at the hardest of time, we should never give up. Hope!
Below there is short video giving more details about the project.
