Its always a good thing to see your childhood friend finally getting married. I’ve known Bernard for the longest time, we go back to the days when ‘Micro Genius’ gaming consoles were the PS3 of today. Here’s a little love story of the couple as narrated by Janice :-
“We went to the same church. I didn’t really take notice of him until he started hanging out and driving my brother around a lot – because he would also send me home, and sometimes come over. We started to have mutual friends, and he started to call everyday and came over to see me instead of my brother (to my brother’s horror as he broke the bro code).
We went for long drives, did lots of things together, but I kept him waiting as I went off to Australia to study. He waited and we wrote to each other while I was away. When I came back, he was persistent, and so, we finally got together. But even so, we had to live and love apart for 2 and a half years, as I continued my studies in London.
He waited for me, and it was from the visit he made to London that first made us both realised on our own (without any discussion), that we could live happily married to each other. About a year later, he sought my parent’s approval to marry me and proposed. I finally said, “yes” and that transformed our 8 year relationship into a “forever and a day”.”
