Last year we visited the city of Amsterdam. This was our first time to Europe, and to say I was excited was too mild of a word to describe my feeling. The city was incredible, we were there right about the same time this year in the month of February. It was winter season, and it was indeed very cold! It was so cold my camera actually frozen a few times, I think its due to the battery. At lower temperatures the batteries tend to loose its power and they are not as efficient. I had to basically warm them up with my gloves and thick wool scarf before I could power up the camera. Good experience for me, as I learned something new when shooting in a country with a cooler climate.
Anyway, I wasn’t there for a wedding assignment, although I wished I had a bride and groom with me during that time. I’m not sure if other wedding photographers out there have this feeling whenever they travel ?
So we ventured in the city of Amsterdam and what better way of getting to know a new city than by walking around it. Okay now for some photos…
Meanwhile, not far from the city of Amsterdam…we visited Zaanse Schans. Here are some of the photos of that beautiful place.
